As numerous as 20 dead dogs were found Friday morning by workers at the eco-friendly Acres boarding facility in Gilbert, Arizona.  It was originally reported that there were 17 canine deaths, now the toll has risen to 20. one of the dogs apparently chewed with an air conditioning power cord which led to the dogs dying of warm exhaustion overnight. regional authorities are calling it a tragic accident.

Workers at the facility last inspected on the dogs at 11pm, when they shown up for work the next morning at 5:30am the dogs were deceased. The kennels owners were out of town when the event occurred. They shown up back house Friday evening as well as started making phone phone calls to the canine owners. Some canine owners are reporting that when they shown up to pick up their dogs on Saturday morning they were told they had escaped.

Doug Hart was out searching for his sister’s canine who had obviously escaped.  He talked to USA Today  as well as stated “My mother as well as all these people have been driving around searching for their dogs for two hours to discover out the dogs are dead in the shed.”

The Maricopa region Sheriff’s office is investigating the case. Chris Hegstrom from the Sheriff’s office specified “It appears that in the space where the dogs were kept there is a dry wall that the dogs had chewed with as well as had chewed with an electrical wiring that was behind there that shut the power off to that end of the building” as well as that “at this point it appears like a tragic accident.” as of Sunday evening no charges have been filed.
